Mayhem

My heart churns with fear of leaving my comfy bed to sleep in a campervan in such lonely place. What if we meet monsters or strange people. Okay.. i have to say that watching too much of Criminal Minds really takut. So in defence... I had a two knives and two small scissors. Hope it will keep me safe.

Packing... oH.. i hate that trying to bring the whole house but only allowed 30 kg. How to fit 21 days of barang. My niece, Chyi said travel light. How light is light?
In my luggage, I have
a) rice cooker
b) hair dryer
c) electric kettle
d) hot plate
Baju and others belum kira. Now, you can confirmed by agreeing with me that i need the whole house. Haha....

No one in the right mind would do what I choose to do . I will blog more along my trip or after returning. Follow me.

Work = 190 days - 10 days

Now what is that? A simple child will ask me. I will say that is the total days that i worked in a year. The child will ask again: a year has 365 days but you only worked that little.
Maybe( deep in my heart),my new boss assumed that too. Oh yes, in my above equation I left out tons of work/activities that were carried out after school hours. Example: endless hours of meeting after school every Thursday. My lunch will be at 4pm. Saturday carrying out activities with my students like gardening and quizzes.

Our Explore race held by my girls but keep an eye on them.

Preparing paperwork with other teachers which consumed so much of time.

Our annual camp . Alyissa had to follow her mom along. I was in charge of the girls on a long

 weekend.

Behind us is the tent that the girls slept during the annual camp. They had a lonely friend that visited them : snake. I was so terrifed. Luckily... i brought along a bodyguard.  Ha...ha.....

In summary, my working days in a year is far far more than 180 days. The afternoon I had to stay back for meetings, going camp, marking papers at home and having extra class.

After Turkey...

Turkey will remind a beaur=tiful place to visit and i really hope to go again. The sweetest of the red cherries still linger in my heart. The toilets are way much much better compared to China.

I am in the midst of preparing for my next coming adventure minus all the luxury comfortable of tour. My daughter got me tickets to visit NZ by my own. So I had to look for a partner in crime. Bingo... got one who wants to remind extreme low profile.

I will be away for about 3 weeks driving car, campervan, plane(opps... i sit only) then campervan again. Remember i will spending many nights in a campervan. I cannot imagine after taking tours to China and Turkey.

I had good meals in Turkey. Super yummy breakfast.

It looks blek but I tried and loved it. Tomato soup with cheese. Good on cold days. It really warm your soul.

We ( my sisters and I) were shopping in a mall(Istinye Park) in Turkey. There is a vendor selling veggies. I could not resist this big , juicy tomato. Yummy.

Life after beautiful Turkey

My head with lots of wires to organize my dream holiday

As you all knew, I had a wonderful holiday with my sisters in Turkey. I loved the sweet cherries which  I ate so much and so mahal here in Malaysia. The taste still linger in my memories.

So wat next? I was over the moon when my daughter got me tickets to NZ. Yes, as I am writing this, my heart is worried to take up the challenge of going for more than 3 weeks. Gila lah me ni.

First, read read all the available books on Nz. So far, I have read 4 travel guide books from Lonely Planet to others.Read the map given to see the route to drive, I am driving a car, campervan, plane(opps... not flying but sitting) then back to campervan.

Hope when I am able to blog after my holiday .

Troy (Truva) South of Canakkale

This picture is taken in Troy,I felt that the site was moving and trying my best to imagine the Greek and Trojan armies in battle here with 5000 years of rich history. Saw piles and piles of earth and stone.

Next Pergamon ... City of Alexander The Great.

I know it is so sunny yet so cold when the wind blows. Observe the beautiful arches still seen today.

Istanbul to Canakkale

Firstly, our flight to Istanbul was delayed 4 hrs. We flew with Turkish Airline and we didnot enjoy the delay and the service.
After 11 hrs of flight, we landed in Istanbul. So many orang and different. My tour guide is Otak.
Makan time was so so .

Tak sedap the chicken.
The bus ride to Canakkale was scenic . I saw the Gallipoli Peninsula where a battle was held during WW1 among all nations including Turkey. Now, the place is known as Gelibolu. We took a ferry ride across it to Lapseki.
A vendor selling pistachio in Gallipoli.I told myself it had been a long day and i had not shower for more than 25 hours.
The beautiful Sea of Marmara. So blue.

The first night we stayed in Tusan Hotel. The view from the restaurant calmed my soul, no doubt i have not showered.

Holidaying again 2013

Well, its time again to take a trip with my 3 sisters. This time to Turkey. I do not know what to expect but I was told many things from this person and even my doctor gave a few words .I nodded and braced myself.

The most beautiful sight anyone noticed are all the rows and rows of roses. My sisters and I were happy.

They grew everywhere from yellow, white and red ones.
Poppy flowers also seen all over the fields stretching for miles and miles.

These beautiful sights were taken at a rest stop area.

I was happy and excited to see all different types of flowers.
