My Favourite Moments in NZ

1. Without doubt: Fox Glacier

 

 

This place gave me courage and strength.

2. Driving on a One Lane Bridge. It was extremely scary at the beginning.

3. Ice Cream.. with real fruits all over NZ

Even cooking is possible in tiny space. My simple lunch in Nelson.

Epilogue: NZ is a surreal and unforgettable experience for me. At the beginning in NZ, it was bittersweet with jetlag and the coldness. I wasn't prepared for them but finally, I felt so sad in leaving . I suddenly discovered that this is the PLACE to be.

My Favourite Small Towns In NZ

Hanmer Springs: Hot Springs to soak in. Beautiful Redwood trees.

Geraldine. The breathtaking in the late afternoons.It gives me a closer views of the mountains and river gorges. A small town but worth every minute.

It is after breakfast . Ice cream from here to hit the road.

Nelson, much bigger then all the above mentioned towns.The beach is awesome with yummy yummy fresh seafood.

9  pm in Lake Wanaka.

Vast orchards. An interesting place to view.

A master piece to show in a small town. What do you think it is?

Must TRY and DO in NZ

1.NZ is two big islands. Plenty of beautiful places to get your feet wet .

2. Staying in a campervan with kitchen too. Having my lunch in the rain.This is the cheapest way to travel there saving money.

Trying all the local products. Sweet cherries ready to go.

 

Shopped a lot here. The prices are reasonable and even discount for fuel.

Self Catering trip in NZ

Observe that I brought along my whole house from rice cooker, bowls, plates , kuali and lots of paste to cool in NZ.

Cooked 3 meals in a day. I cooked more and ate healthy food compared to Malaysia.

A bit of Fried Rice and eggs as protein.

Coffee and cereal for breakfast.

Bread fresh from the oven for breakfast, lunch to dinner,

I found it but be prepared, the salmon is so fresh so is the price.

Yes.... yummy.

A simple meal every day.

Now that is a special fish : Monk Fish just the fillet which I grilled with stir fried purple Asparagus.Yes... I tried it. Very sweet.

Malaysian food: Maggi Mee to go .

A real Japanese meal given by my friend in Wellington.

My fave: broccoli and fresh mushrooms.

Last Part: Hamner Spring to Christchurch

My cabin in Christchurch .. very small and friendly neighbours.

Found a good outlet to buy thermal stuff.

Without fail, the Botanic Gardens at the corner of Hagley Park. This spectacular garden has 250 varieties of roses. seriously all kinds that you can think of.

Next... punting on the Avon River was cool and easy. I just sat and enjoyed the ride.

Saying goodbye to NZ. I must return in 2014 so much more to see, try and go gila all over again. Life is just too short to stay at home.
